About the Role:
Join ComForCare Home Health Care as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Hilton Head, SC, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. This rewarding role allows you to provide essential support and companionship to those in need, ensuring their comfort and dignity at home.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor health conditions as directed.
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe environment.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
- Support mobility and physical exercises to promote independence.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to encourage mental stimulation.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity of clients at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a PCA or HHA is preferred.
- Prior experience in home health care or a related field is a plus.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic understanding of healthcare practices and procedures.
